AFAY Health Initiative is a youth-led organisation with a mission to ensure that vulnerable populations thrive to reach their full potential through research, programs and policy efforts
AFAY Health Initiative is a youth-led non-profit organisation dedicated to improving the health and well-being of vulnerable populations, including children, adolescents and youths. We recognise the unique challenges faced by children and youths, including limited access to quality education, sexual and reproductive health education, mental health support, and preventive healthcare services.
Through innovative programs, advocacy, and community-driven interventions, we empower young people with the knowledge and resources they need to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing.
Since our inception, the AFAY Health Initiative has reached thousands of adolescents through school-based health programs, community outreaches, and digital advocacy.
Our initiatives focus on critical areas such as Education and literacy, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), mental health awareness, and the prevention of communicable and non-communicable diseases. We believe that by engaging young people as advocates and leaders in their own communities, we can drive sustainable change and improve health outcomes…
