PET for PAD Project

The PET for PAD Project is a groundbreaking initiative by AfayHealth aimed at improving menstrual health and hygiene among adolescent girls in underserved communities. Recognizing the challenges many girls face in accessing sanitary products and accurate information, the project focuses on both access and education.

Through community outreach, school programs, and partnerships with local organizations, PET for PAD distributes free sanitary pads and provides comprehensive menstrual health education. The project empowers girls with knowledge about their bodies, breaks the stigma surrounding menstruation, and ensures that no girl misses school due to lack of menstrual products.

Since its inception, the PET for PAD Project has reached hundreds of girls, fostering a supportive environment where they can ask questions and share experiences. The initiative not only addresses immediate needs but also advocates for long-term policy changes to make menstrual products accessible and affordable for all.

AfayHealth remains committed to expanding the PET for PAD Project, with the goal of reaching more communities and ensuring that every girl has the resources and confidence to manage her menstrual health with dignity.
